Richard is Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Leeds, UK. He was previously a Senior Medicinal Chemist at Tripos Discovery Research, UK. For the last 20 years he has worked predominantly on programs in CNS disorders, oncology and cardiovascular disease, including the discovery of CB2 agonists, FXIIa inhibitors, Syk inhibitors and 5HT2B inverse agonists. More recently, he has become interested in the development of modulators of various calcium permeable ion channels, including TRPC´s, ORAI1 and PIEZO1.
